On April 12 and 13, the Jazz Band had two EPIC performances at the Palo Alto and Austin Area Jazz Festivals. They cleaned house with all of the awards they received. At Palo Alto, the following musicians received All Star Awards: Elijah Bello-Perez - Trumpet, Michael Chapman - Drums, and Juan Lopez - Tenor Sax. Outstanding Performers for the Festival were Daniel Guzman - Trumpet, and Dylan Furman - Piano. Outstanding Soloist for the Festival was Logan Bachman - Guitar. The Overall Outstanding Ensemble for the Festival was New Braunfels HS. At the Austin Area Jazz Festival, they tore it up again and walked away with the Outstanding Ensemble Award. Elijah Bello-Perez and Juan Lopez were selected as Outstanding Soloists, and the band was selected to open up for the UT Jazz Orchestra at the Feature Concert that evening. Way to go NBHS Jazz Band!

On the evening of April 23, all NBISD Percussionists got together for a Night of Percussion. Students from ORMS, NBMS, and NBHS all put on an amazing show as they put their skills on display.
